Born in 1970 in Ankara, Gülçin Türkmen Sarıyıldız is a graduate of Gazi University Faculty of Medicine and completed her specialization in General Surgery at Ankara Oncology Hospital. Following her field, she embarked on a dual career in medicine and healthcare management in Ankara. She has held positions such as Deputy Chief of Medical Staff, Chief of Medical Staff, General Manager, Coordinator, and Consultant in both the Ministry of Health and the Private Sector.
Ms. Sarıyıldız practiced medicine in various settings, including private clinics and universities. During this time, she successfully implemented numerous projects with different teams and worked with various associations and NGOs. She has been actively involved in projects related to healthcare financing, sustainability, value-based approaches, efficiency, lean hospitals, the Health Transformation Program, and the preparation of PPI campus projects.
In 2011, she graduated from Anadolu University Faculty of Business as a second-degree graduate.
With her extensive experience in managerial positions within different units of the Ministry of Health and her involvement in special projects and organizational work after the 663 Decree, Ms. Sarıyıldız joined Medicana International Ankara Hospital as the General Manager and Chief of Medical Staff. She has been serving in this role since 2015.
She actively participated in various civil society organizations and published numerous scientific articles nationally and internationally. She has authored multiple books and chapters and served as an editor in General Surgery. She continues her academic work as an associate professor at the university.
Ms. Sarıyıldız is married and a mother of one. She is proficient in English.
