Medicana Kadıköy Hospital has 61 standard rooms designed to meet all needs of patients and family members. Standard rooms are distinguished with white tones. Mini fridge, television, internet, personal safe, and newspaper services are available in our spacious patient rooms which meet all the basic needs of patients and family members. The rooms include a single-seat sofa for patients’ companions to rest, an information brochure to inform patients and companions about risk of fall, and nurse call cords in toilets and bathrooms.
- Suite Room
Suites of Medicana Kadıköy Hospital are designed to be “as comfortable as your home” for meeting various needs of patients and companions; the rooms consist of two separate parts. In the specifically designed rooms, a separate room is available for the visitors. There is also a television in patient room for the patient and companions. There are only 5 suites, where all hygienic conditions are carefully fulfilled, and these rooms have a separate bathroom for companions along with a chair to rest. There is a nurse call button next to the patient bed and a nurse call cord is available in toilets and bathrooms against the risk of fall.

Posturography (balance test) is performed at our hospital along with all standard hearing tests. For patients presenting with complaint of balance disorder, it helps doctors identify the system, where the problem originates from (ocular, inner ear and proprioception). After test result is reviewed, the patient is referred to neurology, physical medicine and rehabilitation and otolaryngology for treatment.
Neurological Sciences Center
Our neurological sciences unit deals with treatment of many diseases, including but not limited to migraine, headaches, vertigo, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, sleep apnea syndrome, restless leg syndrome, myasthenia gravis, Alzheimer and other dementias as well as ataxia, carpal tunnel syndrome, polyneuropathy and muscle diseases.
Neurology department renders outpatient, emergency medicine and inpatient services as well as neurophysiology laboratory service.
Considering outpatient services, appropriate treatment is started following necessary examinations in patients, who present with certain complaints, such as headache, dizziness, impaired vision, and speech disorder, numbness in hands and/or feet, muscle weakness, involuntary movements, sleep disorders, impaired memory and imbalance. Patients are treated at inpatient settings for conditions that require inpatient examination and for acute diseases.
EEG, EMG, VEP and SEP are performed by clinical neurophysiology specialists at neurophysiology laboratory.
Gastroenterology
Intragastric balloon – one of the options for non-surgical treatment of obesity - can be performed with endoscopic technique under sedation upon referral by our general surgery team. This method aims to promote sense of being full earlier, as stomach gets full quicker after a balloon is inserted into stomach cavity. It is a transient method. IT is preferred for patients without any co-existing disease, such as diabetes mellitus, and above a certain body weight. Or it must be used to lose weight in obese patients after the surgery.
