Professional Experience
After observing at the London Institute of Urology in 1977, he worked at Eskişehir Hava Hospital for 4 years. He returned to GATA as Head Assistant in 1981. He performed urodynamics and percutaneous lithotripsy here, reaching Assoc. Prof. and Prof. degrees.
In 1990, he voluntarily left his military duties and worked in the Urology Department at Van Yüzüncü Yıl University. He then founded the Urology Department at the Fatih University Medical Faculty and became its head.
He contributed to the production and development of Lithotripsy Device for the first time in Turkey with the ELMED team while working with Üromed Urology Center. He contributed to ultrasonic and pneumatic lithotriptor with this team in the forthcoming years. Avicenna (İbn'i Sina) is the first Flexible Uretero-endoscopic lithotripsy Turkish robot that met critical acclaim worldwide. He got awards for the presentation of this robot. He developed a Morcellator for HoLEP (Laser prostate surgery) surgery.
Diagnostic and treatment methods that he first applied in Turkey for the first time: Urodynamics, neurogenic bladder, Percutaneous Lithotripsy (PNL), Ureterorenoscopy (URS), fURS (Flexible Ureterorenoscopic Laser Lithotripsy), Laser Treatment of Kidney Stones with Robot, Prostate Evaporation with Greenlight Laser, HoLEP (Holmium Laser Prostate Removal), Artificial Sphincter in Patients with urinary Inconsistency, Penile Prosthesis.
