Mr. Akan, who served as the Provincial Health Director at the Bursa Provincial Health Directorate from 2009 to 2019, retired from this position. Following his retirement, he worked as the Director of Official Affairs and Licensing at Medicana Health Group from 2019 to 2021.

From 2021 to 2023, he served as the General Coordinator at Medicabil Health Group. As of 2023, he continues as Director of Official Affairs and Licensing at Medicana Health Group.
