Beginning his career as a Personnel Supervisor at Teşvikiye Health House from 1986 to 1989, Turan Yılmaz later served as Assistant Human Resources Manager at Dedeman Istanbul from 1993 to 2011. In 2012-2013, he took on the role of Human Resources Manager at Crowne Plaza Istanbul. From 2013 to 2015, he served as the Human Resources Director at Biz Cevahir Hotel. Continuing his career at the same institution, he was Deputy General Manager from 2015 to 2018. In 2018-2019, he served as Deputy General Manager at Ottoman's Life Hotel and subsequently, in 2019-2020, as the General Manager at Tuzla Marina Aquapark.

In 2021-2022, Mr. Yılmaz took on the Group Human Resources Manager role at Alaçatı Muhallebicisi. As of 2022, he continues his career as the Director of Hospitality Services at Medicana Health Group.
